I've been lurking here for several weeks...it's time to step out of the shadows (so to speak).
-My name is Kyrielle (on the internets), Kyr for short.
-I am 17 and have finished my first week as a college freshman. 'Tis...interesting, definitely.
-I bought Folklore in June and played it the two weeks I was at the beach, and then finished it the next week (right after seeing The Dark Knight. I had a smidge of an adrenaline high at the time.). I want to play it again but my PS3 is not with me, nor is a tv. *single tear*
-I love the soundtrack so much I just might marry it. "Between Life and Death" makes me smile regardless of what mood I'm in C:
-I can't think of anything to write. Blegh.
-I read lots of webcomics. (QC, MTTS, TFD, xkcd, ASW, PFSC, etc.)
-Music: alternative, indie, glitch, electronica, industrial, videogame osts.
-I really can't come up with anything. *merrrrr*
So...yeah. Hello everyone!

Hey there; welcome aboard! The more the merrier; this place needs some new life breathed into it...
I hope the soundtrack's into polygamy, because otherwise I might have to fight you over who gets to marry it, haha. (I kid, I kid.) The Darkness Within is one of my favorite tracks, despite it only showing up in that one random boss battle in the Corrupt Village. XD;
ETA: Also, I just noticed you're from Boston. I go to college in Amherst - woo!

Thanks! I felt kind of awkward posting stuff since the forums are somewhat dormant right now. Happy to be a newlife. C: Huh. I dunno if I can pick a favorite, but I really love the pieces by Yuriko Mukoujima (Visited Tragedy and Under a Falling Star). I am a sucker for dramatic and sad. XD Actually, I'm from Connecticut too - I'm at Boston University (one of my friends is at Amherst, though.)

Welcome, welcome! It seems that that pesky thing called real life seems to be getting in the way of folklore time. But what can you do?

Real life is pesky indeed. I would much rather play Folklore than write papers or study for exams. College is becoming really daunting, all of a sudden. D:

Oh sweet! Another Connecticut-living-going-to-college-in-Massachusetts person! XD Whereabouts in CT are you from, if you don't mind my asking? I'm from Tolland (which confuses people a lot, because there's a Tolland in Massachusetts, too, haha).
By all means, post stuff! I will eat it up like candy! The LiveJournal's pretty dead, too. @__@ (bridge_house, if you've not been there yet - I'm demishock over there.)
College makes me want to die. XDDD I am >THIS< close to being done with my first Folklore fic (18 pages; wtf brain?) but I need to edit the plot holes out of it and my schedule is like, "Haha! No."

I really hate to admit it, but I'm from Darien, the birthplace of the Stepford wives stereotype. *is so glad to be out of there*
*leGASP* I didn't even know there WAS a Folkore LJ! Though I don't actually have an LJ account, so it might stay mostly dead for now :B
College is very good at making students want to die, sadly...I have a paper due on Wednesday as well as a 6-day linear perspective drawing that I should've started by now (but instead went to a Board Games club, ahaha). I've also noticed that it is good at eating up my money for textbooks and art supplies D:
18 pages is a looooot. What kind of story is it? *is completely uneducated in the ways of fanfiction*

Oh, Connecticut. It's the third smallest state and I still have no freaking idea about any of the towns not directly connected to my own. And Hartford/New Haven/New Britain/Willamantic/Greenwich. Harhar...
There indeed is a Folklore LJ, although there are like all of five posts on it and two of them are by me. XD
I am a senior and I can't catch a break. I'm probably going to end up with overload credits all the way up until graduation because I suck at life. XD
I'm not sure how interesting it will be to people, since it's uber-dialogue-heavy, but it's all I've got right now, haha. It's an Ellen-Keats fic (although there's no real romance; it's more that they're just the only two characters in it). Summary: Ellen is having some self-confidence issues and her subconscious plops her outside Keats' door. Because Keats is a therapist as well as a journalist, apparently.
Basically it's a sort of Keats-helps-Ellen-work-through-her-problems fic. He seems to be pretty good at that despite the fact that he's "not doing it for [insert whoever thanked him here]". Oh, Keats. XD;

Darien's in Fairfield county. It's pretty much the same thing as Greenwich or New Canaan, if that helps.
Ouch to lack of break-catching :C I can't even imagine what senior year is like in college. I am but a lowly frosh :B
I think your story sounds interesting. I never really thought of Keats as the therapist type, especially with his indifference towards Ellen XD But as her guardian that makes a ton of sense. Plus Keats would make a very entertaining shrink.
Actually, I want them to be together forever. I'm obsessed with it, like, unhealthily so, ever since I saw the ending and was left hanging. I don't write fanfics, and I don't normally read them...but I want it to happen so badly that I play it out in my head before I drift off to sleep. In my mind, I can see Ellen's apartment in Dublin, and where she works, and...gah. It's not even in any sexual context, I just think they'd be perfect. wtf self.

I know where Fairfield county is, at least. XD; I'm a little geography-challenged... >.>;
Most seniors I know are taking the bare minimum classes because they're pretty much done but for a few courses in their major. I, on the other hand, took far too long to decide that I wanted to pursue a minor, and did a year abroad, so I'm struggling to graduate on time. Not that I regret going abroad - not by a long shot - but it did set me back a bit in terms of credits.
He sort of ends up being her therapist whilst trying not to be, if that makes any sense. I should edit it so I can post it. Curse me and my laziness. (Oh, swear filter... I don't like you very much. XD)
I want them to be together forever, too! They'd be cute in love, but I love them even just as friends, if Keats is even capable of feeling that way towards someone. My next desire is to write a big epic fic where she and Keats go on another crazy Netherworld adventure, only this time they fight side-by-side rather than following in each other's footsteps. I am unfortunately really bad at writing things that are longer than a one-shot. We'll see what happens...

Not to hijack your thread or anything... but Keats and Ellen are fun because they would be a bit dysfunctional. I was rather endeared by Herve and Cecelia... so cute...

Hey, the discussion wasn't exclusive just to us; hijack away! XD Discussion is fun~
Herve and Cecelia ARE adorable. I'd love to know how they first met and whether they got along from the beginning or if they were they types of kids to be like, "ew, cooties..." before they finally became friends...

The more, the merrier! This forum is being (slowly) brought back to life. XD
Herve and Cecilia definitely elicited many a "d'awww" from me. I wish they'd expanded on the characters' backgrounds, because seeing them become friends would be full of cute and win. :3
by the way, why is there no music section/thread here?

Though I wonder how well an Ellen/Keats relationship would work out after Ellen remembered she was Cecilia... would she try to be Cecilia? Would she remember Herve and try to put Herve's characteristics and or personality on Keats? Would Keats put up with that or try to live up to her childhood friend?
These are the things that I think about...

kyrielle - No idea about the missing music section. Perhaps you could request one on the improving-the-board thread if you've got an idea for what kind of thing you want to see... @mantra - I don't really think Keats would go along with trying to be Herve, even if she asked him to. In fact, the more I think about it (aka I just came up with this crackpot theory and now I'm going to share), the more I think that the reason Keats was so cold to Ellen during the ending was because he's trying, in his roundabout Keats-y way to get her to finally let go of her past. The whole game focused on her past and healing from it. But I don't think she's really quite ready by that point to just drop it and move on. It's like he said toward the end, "But you are Cecelia no longer." So I think Keats would try to put her on the road to finding out who "Ellen" is. I hope that made some semblance of sense...
