Warning... There be spoilers...
How did you guys beat Scarecrow? I can do the Keats part just fine... but when time comes to Ellen... I just keep dying. I can kill the first set of birds no problem... but it's those &%$#@ bubbles that the second set spits out... how do you get around that? They're everywhere and they keep killing Degasser before he can hit the stupid bird...
Help?

If I remember correctly I used something faster to hit the bird than Degasser. If you've got Ga-boi (thunder type) unlocked, I'd vote for using him. I'm playing it now, and it looks like you don't, so my next vote goes for Muscari (also thunder), cuz he's good for attacking from a distance (which gives you more of a chance to dodge those bubbles).
For the one on the right, you can avoid a fair amount of damage by running to the very very far right of the screen, until you can't go any further. I killed that one first. Then go at the one on the left as best you can. I believe I kept Ascidia (the rainbow-colored jelly-like defensive Folk) going as much as I could through that part, too.
Hope that helps! Good luck, if you haven't already beat it by the time you read this. ^^V

Thanks, I did get past that stupid bubble part... but the only time I got past the lightening heads, I had like... one HP left. And I don't think I ever absorbed that rainbow jelly folk. *sigh* I guess I'm going to have to mash that dodge button.
I'm so close to beating the game, I want to know what happens....

And I don't think I ever absorbed that rainbow jelly folk. *sigh* D'aww. ): Sorry to hear that. It took me forever to even figure out HOW to absorb the dumb thing, so I can understand you avoiding it. XD;

At this point, I've only gotten past the bird heads twice... and then died shortly after. The only shield thing I have is the Thurpin? The one that hops that you get right after Pouke. So far, my strategy is for the first set of heads, I run really close and whip Pouke at them really fast... for the second set, the flying porcupine thingy work much better... as long as that stupid black hole stops opening at by feet. Peg Powler usually takes out the third set quickly... but by that time, it's like... why bother, you only have 3 HP left.

If you notice the black hole fast enough, you can run off of it before it attacks you. Peg Powler's a good choice for the lightning-shooting heads; same strategy as the bubbles applies there, too - stay to the FAR right of the screen (close to its head, if memory serves) to avoid getting hit by the death ray.

Yay! I finally beat the game! Wooo! I was rather thrown off by the dialogue while I was trying to absorb the stupid critter.... good thing it threw more "stop 'n go" and "beat the heck out of it" bits than the timed absorption... I'm not so good at that one. But yay... now I can think about fanfiction.
