Yeah, been through the story. I'm still confused on one thing though. Then again, with my luck, I probably overlooked it.
But what is Cecilia/Ellen's mother supposed to be? Is she human or a netherworld creature?

What I got from it is that Ellen's mother has been alive the whole time, living in the shadows. Ingrid is just a human who is able to travel into the Netherworld. It's hinted from Mrs. Lester that Ellen got her connection to the Netherworld from her mother, saying that Ingrid works as a fortune teller in the city.

I like how they made her really mysterious throughout most of the game. Really had me guessing about her till I reached the last 2 chapters. :-)

Ah yes, Ellen's mother. It really annoys me how everyone kinda glossed over the fact that she murdered two people. Sure, she was protective of her daughter but isn't that a bit too protective? When I talked to O'Connell and he said, "You had a good mother" I was thinking, what? First she murders two people and then she abandons your for 17 years. Sorry, not my definition of a good parent. /rant
