Whose story did you play through first? Keats, Ellen's, or both (switched each chapter). Which way do you think is better?
Myself I played through Ellen's first. I didn't care much for Keats until I was forced to play as him and learned more about him.
I've heard a lot of people suggest playing through both character's stories per chapter instead of just playing through all the way for one. Personally I liked that I played Ellen's point of view first because she's left more in the dark about what's happening in Doolin than Keats is. I love mysteries and being kept in the dark because it's a fun challenge to figure things out.

Like you, I thought I'd play through Ellen first. I don't like the idea of playing each realm two times consecutively.

I'm playing through by alternating. Started with Ellen, then Keats, then Ellen, then Keats. I find it enjoyable because each time the chapter ends, it leaves off with a little bit of a cliffhanger, and then instead of going right into the next chapter, I force myself to switch characters and hold onto that suspense for a little while. *on Ellen's chapter 3, end of Keats' chapter 2*
It's a little bit confusing because of the character overlap, but other than that, I'm pretty fond of it. :)

I've played Ellen all the way through chapter 3 before starting Keats' chapters, and now I wish I had alternated their chapters from the beginning. Bad memory = not understanding the plot too well. @___@;;
If you're skeptical about having to repeat the same level over again with Keats/Ellen, it's handy to have a sibling or close friend who's willing to play the other person's POV (my brother plays the Keats chapters while I play Ellen's). Makes progressing the story not so tedious and more fun at the same time!

See, I really don't find it tedious playing each setting twice in a row. Keats' side tends to go significantly faster than Ellen's anyway, and since they're each hearing a different side of what's going on and don't have all the same Folks, it's still interesting for me.
I'm at the start of Chapter 7. Trying to unlock all my Folks' abilities and whatnot just for fun. Really mad at my PS3 right now, though - no matter what I do, I can't get it to connect to our wireless internet, even though it says I have a 100% signal coming from the router. >__< IP address connects and then I get some DNS error... *sighs* So I can't get the extra costumes or quests. *severely angry*

Back and forth between both is the only way to get the best story imo.

Went Ellen, then Keat, Ellen then Keats the whole way. At first I wanted to go through the Endless Corridoor with Keats first, but accidentally started with Ellen and saved the game. In the end though, I didn't regret it

I went all over the place with it
Ellen to chapter 4
Keats to chapter 2
Ellen to chapter 5
finished Keats
the game expects you to play as Ellen first, I think, alternating, or all the way through as her, because as Keats you learn... everything...
BUT YOU KNOW WHAT LIKE MADE ME DIE
when you were Ellen in... chapter 3 or 4... and Harriet was like "I can't tell you this incredibly key information that advances the plot and answers questions only to reveal even more awesome plot line information. But I will tell Keats."
and Ellen's just like "What."
and then Harriet's all "He's an outsider. YOu aren't. He'll understand it better."
ELLEN IS TOO A FLIPPIN' OUTSIDER I DON'T CARE ABOUT HER CONNECTED PAST STOP LYING TO ME YOU CRAZY OLD LADY

I played as far as I could as Keats and then played through as Ellen.

since my girl wanted to play Folklore first she started with Ellen. I did Keats part afterwards. I guess to understand the story better you should switch after every chapter but oh well...

Swapped back and forth. My memory is kinda crappy so if I did it any other way, I'd pretty much have forgotten who's weak to what or how to beat the bosses.
Though it did kinda suck having to get the boss right after beating it again. Dangit, Yama! Why did you have to get me so confused? (IMO, it would have been cool if who you played as first had to fight his Baliffs/birds, then the next fighting Yama himself, but hey, what can you do?)

I played each chapter back and forth all the way through, starting with Ellen.
Fun to compare and contrast things that way.
