Since the other thread pushed the "no spoiller limitation" a bit I opened a second one here where you can discuss about it without ruining the fun for others.
PS: Please enlighten me nomi, I..need...info...pretty please... ;D

Alright... so... If you've already beaten the game, you should see the ending sequence where Keats goes back to Ellen's hut to look for "something important" to him. What he finds is Herve's copy of the final issue of Unknown Realms from 1989. Also, in Chapter 4 Keats finds a letter from Cecilia's mother Ingrid dated January 31, 1990, telling Dr. Lester that Cecilia died. This would be a little over two months after the Night of Samhain, November 4, 1989. Herve died shortly afterward, and Ingrid moved Cecilia away from Doolin to protect her. Again... 1989 + 17 years = 2006! Understand, now?

I also forgot that in 1990, Ingrid wrote the letter to the Lesters about Cecilia's death. Since this is shortly afterwards it has to be 2006...Dayuuumit.... I gues I need to replay the game over 5 times to get all the freaking info needed......
*shrugs* More funtime YAY!! ;D

I still want to know why Keats uses a typewriter. -_-'

I also do sometimes.... It depends on my mood and I gotta say, it's a totally different feeling and it practices your skills in correct typing.

Well, that's true. I really like typewriters, but Keats doesn't seem the type.
...I think I'm overthinking this.

I actually think the typewriter suits Keats perfectly. He doesn't seem the sort that would have a laptop. Look at his office again in the opening movie. He has a lot of clutter around - stacks of books and paper all over the place, a dartboard (I love the darts stuck in the wall), a globe, a leather sofa, a bookshelf, a framed document and a few wooden chairs. It screams old-fashioned.
Maybe because of the nature of the magazine he writes for, he likes "more substantial" tools like typewriters, pens, pencils and tape recorders as opposed to the digital equivalents.

Bumping an old thread but I just thought of something. Unknown Realms closed in 1989, which means that the Netherworld version of the office that Keats works in maybe a replica of the office from 1989. It's fairly plausible that a writer for a fairly unpopular magazine may not have a computer in '89.
