Hey, people. I'm Liz, aka Mystical Sand. If you can guess where my avatar name came from, you'll have discovered another of my favorite fandoms. :P Also, I'm incredibly long-winded. Just so you know.
Short blurb about myself:
I just turned 21 years old, but I don't feel like an adult yet. I'm a native of Connecticut, in the USA, and I go to college in Massachusetts, but I am currently studying abroad in Osaka, Japan. I'm a Japanese Lang./Lit. major (striving for an International Relations minor), and I got into the language via music. Most of my hobbies revolve around sitting on my lazy butt (reading, writing, playing video games, being addicted to the internet, etc.), but I think that's okay.
Anyway, this might surprise you all less than it surprises me, but I've not actually played Folklore. Well, I can't say that, exactly. I discovered the game over spring break last week when I went to Tokyo and visited Playstation Square. They had the demo of Folks Soul, I played it, and I fell in love. This is unusual for me, though: joining a fandom before I've actually immersed myself in the original material. Especially since I hate spoilers so much. But my god, do I ever have the intense urge to start writing fanfiction for this game...
However, since I'm still in Japan until May, I don't have access to any of my gaming consoles (I don't even own a PS3... yet), and so now I have to spend at least two months pining after it without actually getting to play. Hur, whoops. XD
So I've spent the last several days repeatedly watching the trailer on YouTube. The English voice acting in that clip makes me madly happy, and the combination of that with "Nephilim" (by Abingdon Boys School) just makes for one amazing trailer. I also have been playing around on the official US website and being all giddy and fangirly.
So yeah, that about covers me and how I got here. I found this place via Google; I was horrified when I checked fanfiction.net and discovered that not only is there no Folklore section, but there's only one fic at all that I could find in the Misc. Games section. So I took to Google and here I am. :)
I'm looking forward to becoming more and more active here as time goes on!
