Okay, this has been bugging me for awhile. You know when Ellen uses the power of the Folk (lol, sounds like star wars), the folk actually appear and fight for her. And the faery constantly tell her its them as her army. And it always depresses me when she sends them out and they get killed. >///> But she's sending the actual folk out. Keats, on the other hand, uses a ghosty version of the folk. They're like... not really there. But they fight just fine. But when the enemy attacks, it attacks Keats and not the folk you sent out. His attacks go right through. So what i'm wondering, is why? I mean... i think i know. Correct me if i'm wrong, but Ellen is the chosen one. And didnt Keats get the power because he stood too close to her during her power thingy? So does that mean he only gets a remnant of the power and thus being less powerful and unable to fully control the folk? Well, thats my little theory. The whole thing bugs me. He takes so much more damage than her! And the fact shes all prettied up the entire time shes in the netherworld, but Keats is only when he chooses. And he can only be super powered for like... ten seconds. Is that also cuz he's less powerful? D: If you answer me, no spoilers past chapter 4. Thanks

Okay... first thing... I can't give you a proper answer without spoiler... but... I can give you something... Okay.... Keats isn't less powerful (think of his Transcencion! ) his attacks do more damage than those of Ellen's folks... The difference is... Keats has a deeper connection to his folks than Ellen...
Ellen: Folk works for her Keats: Folk works WITH him
Understood?... He uses their attacks directly and does not send them foreward to attack... that's why he gets hurt and not the folk... it's almost... symbiotic... ^^... and the reason for that... would be a spoiler so... very sorry... ^^

YUpp yupp... once you fully understood what Keat's connection to the Netherworld is you get it... oh I recommend the downloadable quest Faery-Foto 2 (Keats) as well... helps understanding it even better if the End of the game didn't make it ^^

I used to think Keats was weak when I had to play as him (I played through Ellen's story first) but he just has a different fighting style than Ellen does.

Yupp... Ellen has to use tactics and different element folks... as well as she is rather a long-range combatant... Keats is the hand-to-hand type... with him (despite his intellect ) strong and fast short ranged attacks are the best...
Ashee: Semi! Use a long-range weapon! Semi: You're playing Ellen! You do that!... I play Keats! Ashee: But... Semi: *tries to imitates Keat's accent*I hav' Fomoire dat IS mye affin long-range weapon!
As soon as you got yourself a Fomoire... Your only tactic is: Use Fomoire... it's attacks are strong (Pouke ID shows after 2 hits) and keep Keats a bit away from the enemy... Also it's destroy-type so only a few folk are immune against it's attacks ^^
But that is only good for Keats... Ellen's Fomoires are weaker and slower...

Oh what i hate most is how Ellen's Bargest is so slow, it gets killed before it can attack. that got me so mad! I use bargest constantly as Keats, but as ellen its all "RAWR-poof" ;_; It so sucked. I only used it in that boss battle against the weird turtle with the flower on its back in the first chapter. @_@

Oh what i hate most is how Ellen's Bargest is so slow, it gets killed before it can attack. If you just play as Keats... you will figure... THAT goes for all of her creatures... another plus for Keats... his folks don't go poof when they are hit (Ellen even has to wait until they have completely disappeared before summoning a new one!).... Do you know how terrible it is when you are playing the whole game as Keats... and then the one plays as Ellen is unable to beat the Folklore... and asks YOU to do it... with a character who's battle-system is so affin different from yours and who's folks behave completely different from yours?... Nonetheless I kicked Brigantia'sbuttox...(3 times because I wanted to watch both versions of Keats-... the swamp and the palace)... And... lol... I beat the final boss as Ellen... even though I never really figured how to play as Ellen... Ashee hasn't managed to beat him until now... but... then again... she doesn't really want to... for a ... spoiler reason ^^

I'm hoping i'm wrong. Anyways, yeah, Ellen's things are all like that. But she IS able to use more at once. I always send out the little Warcadia dudes to run off and kill things while i Pouke at the nearby enemies. And then i think "GOD! I wish Keats could do that!!" XD But then again, with Keats, Bargest comes out so fast i kill them all in one sweep. >///>

lol That is so funny you guys... Danielle and I always got pissed at ELLEN for being weaker! Okay, not weaker but... she moves slower and doesn't dodge well, so it was different when she watched me use Keats.
But you are correct, Ellen directly summons the folk while Keats uses them as an extension of his body. Though you can tell everyone that Keats is her Guardian, lol and that's the reason for it. It isn't a spoiler, Belgae tells Keats this in the very beginning when he does his transcension.
XDDD Oh man, that just reminded me... we didn't know he would do that! We totally forgot about it because we saw the trailer ONCE and when he suddenly went blue, Danielle and I were like, "WHOA! OMG!!" It was hysterical.
Yeah, some of the Ids that Keats and Ellen share are used different. The Bargest with Ellen goes porcupine on everyone'sbuttox and Keat's Bargest just go, "RAWR! *swipes claw*" It's pretty cool.

If I remember correctly, Manders is right. It's not really a spoiler (I'll check later today to make sure). *is studying right now*
It's still not very polite to say disparaging things to other members if they did accidentally spill something. We all make mistakes.

I know it wasnt polite, but it irritated me a lot cuz my family has been trying to make the connection on our own and she ruined it. Massive bummer, ya know?

If anyone ever posts a spoiler without warning just PM me and I'll get onto the person. And actually it really wasn't a spoiler. Belgae does say at the Henge (In the Prolouge): "When a new Messenger is chosen Guardians are also chosen. That is certain to be you."
