What started your love (or at least interest) in the game Folklore? My story isn't so epic. I got it for Christmas along with my PS3. At first glance I thought it was going to suck because my mom picked it out. . . so huge surprise for me.

Hey mom. Dont tell me, but you're getting me this for christmas" and i put it in the cart. She wrapped it and everything and i got it for christmas! xD It was great.

My friend got a PS3 after her PS2 died and while scoping out new games, she found this one online so for Christmas she got it and we started playing it. ^_^ Nothing to exciting here, haha. We just like to play games together and she's the only one with a PS3, so it worked out. XD
We just adored Folklore though, and it helped that she was one character and I was the other.

I actually saw a preview for it on G4. Yeah I'm a gmaer loser who watches G4 and adores Ninja Warrior! But anyway after the preview I did some research on it. Held off a bit because of mixed reviews but later decided to take the plunge and buy it. I am certainly glad I did.

I read a preview of it in Game Informer a loooooong time ago and was interested in it. I kept reading information on it whenever they'd print it, and I'd vowed to get it when it came out. I just wound up getting it sooner than I thought, as I happened to find a used copy for $40 instead of a new version for $60.

Let's see... once upon a time my bro was annoying me, as usual. We just got a PS3 (thank god some of my rellies run an electronic shop, discounts!) and so far I hadn't purchased any games on it or even tried playing it.
At the risk of having my brother buy the new Final Fantasy for the PS3 (when it actually comes out) I quickly went to IGN.com and went through reviews. Folklore took my interest and it got a Dayuuum good score (9/10). So I got my bro to buy it for me ^^

I actually bought this game out of impulse, and I'm very glad I did.
Story was refreshing after playing lots of RPGs, and it me guessing till the end. Character and folk designs was pretty cool too.

I mentioned this in my intro post, but I might as well say it again here:
I went to Tokyo during my spring break and ended up going to Playstation Square. One of the demos they had in the main lobby was Folks Soul, and I loved the gameplay and the graphics. When I go back to America this summer, I have every intention of buying the game and then locking myself in my room until I finish it. XP (This is a.s.s.uming (why won't it let me use that word? o.O;) that the surprise birthday gift that my parents got me that is waiting at home on my bed is, in fact, a PS3. Otherwise I'll have to buy THAT first, and then the game.)

I was over at my Boyfriend's house after we had gotten the game earlier that day and he was obsessing over it and he just had to load it. At first I was annoyed that he was this excited about the game. Being a gamer as well, I've only got a PS2 and really want a PS3 after seeing this game, I decided to let him play and I watched him play. I was hooked by the opening sequence before the actual game play. I was like "OMG!" and now I'm hooked to so when ever I go over to his house I want to play FolkLore and PataPon, the other game he too got me obsessed about. Dayuuum, now I have to get a PSP and a PS3.

My boyfriend and I were in the Metreon one day (in San Francisco) and decided to stop by the Playstation store. Saw the demo of this and started playing - and didn't stop for a good half hour. XD I was HOOKED - the delicious graphics, how cute Ellen was in her Cloak of Sidhe and girly running (cannot deny this), the dark but hypnotizing fantastical setting, the design of the FOLKS, the controller flick thing....I could go on forever haha!
Hunted every video game store/electronics store in the area and almost gave up finding a copy. And then my brother made me happy forever by getting it for me as a graduation gift.

I remember reading on Kotaku that Folklore was having a limited, one time only download available of the demo on the PSN. So, eager to check it out I downloaded it straight away (well at least I started the download straight away- took a few hours all up ) I played through it and, of course, was blown away More than a year and a half after I got my PS3 at launch, I still hadn't bought a single game. Shocking, yeah. Ever since I played the Folklore demo though, I knew that it'd be the first game I'd buy. So about a month ago- I did just that!

I saw a random fanart in a random image website and loved the style. I did some research and fell in love with it. Unfortunately, I'll need to wait to play it
