Hey guys!

I'm a new moderator. Tat is having trouble being online, so I will be covering for her from now on.

I had my screenname changed from shen to Habetrot as well, as they are my favorite folk.

Anyway, hopefully the board will liven up again. Tat and I are thinking of adding more discussion boards for games similar to Folklore. So, do you have any suggestions?

Yaaaaay, I am ALL for life being breathed into the community! Glad to have you around. :)

Hope Tat is okay!

I've never played the game myself (just watched someone else play it) but I've seen talk around here and I agree that American McGee's Alice is a little like Folklore. It's a PC game, so I'm not sure how many people have played it, but it's somewhere to start, I suppose?

Alice is a bit like Folklore in the sense that it has a dark atmosphere... it's a great game (even if it's ten years old). I've replayed it recently and I think the themes are similar... Alice and Ellen are both looking for answers.

Also, I think Psychonauts might fit... it's a platformer, but it's more like an adventure game about a little psychic boy that ran away from the circus to go to summer camp. The game gets a bit dark at points, but is very funny.

Oh, gosh, I have not played Mcgee's Alice but am somewhat familiar with it (makes sense how it's similar... fantasy with something dark thrown in). As far as Psychonauts, I have played a little of it. As far as I can see, Psychonauts may be kind of similar to Folklore. It's a popular game as well, so I'll consider it, definitely. ^_^

And thanks for the welcome. I should be more active than Tat. xD She's just busy with work and life. She moved into a new house recently, so that explains a few things.

These are good suggestions. ^^

Opened a RP board by the way.

The internet guy came to my house today. I won't know if I have internet at my house until my room mate comes back home.
